Quantity Surveyor
Prepare, assess, review, follow up and or recommend tendering documents according to the designs and to the scope of the project.
Collaborate in proposing pre-cost estimation and about expected budget relying on tendering analyses and feedback.
Prepare, initiate, review and submit all required quantities.
Record, hold, update all documents and records for projects.
Collaborate and communicate construction supervisors from time to time.
Initiate, prepare, submit, evaluate, review and approve interim valuations and measurements of material required for the project taking into consideration specifications, timing and budget issues.
Initiate, prepare, and follow up contract correspondences relating to billing and prepare, submit and approve additional BOQ items.
Review, communicate, and follow up findings out from analyzing the inspection reports and associated documentation.
Advise, recommend to the project manager of key elements and ensure that all contractual obligations are met; warranties, insrances, invoice periods, bonds…etc.
Ensure completion certificates are signed on completion of projects to evidence commencement of warranty periods.
Ensure that unit rate items are measured and agreed with clients as soon as is practicable through using international agreed units, and stated within contracts and billing system
Agreement of the final account with the clients designated representative prior to the rigs departure
Collaborate with purchasing of equipments and materials ensuring to ensure meeting quality, specifications, and timings
Collaborate in remove any conflict might occur regarding the
quantity estimates in accordance with the project manager guidelines
Analyze subcontract quotations and reconcile rates and conditions to the main contract. Programme/Progress
Summary of earlier estimates, ensuring the estimate reflects complete scope and all constraints and working conditions
Evaluation of bid results and preparation of reports on variances
Skills
Scientific degree; BSc in Quantity Surveying, MRICS, Civil, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.
Minimum 4 years experience, of with at least 2 years experience for the same company as quantity surveyor, in the field of architectural works which involves quantity surveying, estimating, preparing proposals and bids.
Familiarity to work with FIDIC and CESMM3.
Proven ability and hands on Project Management in both experience and certificate.
Ability to perform Costing and time estimation in experience or as study.
Familiarity to work with ability to Microsoft Office (Project), excel & AutoCAD (mandatory ), Primavera preferable .
Ability to communicate in both Arabic and English Languages.
